The news follows a recent study that found that despite the fact that 250,000 people leave the military each year, only 17% of companies consider military veterans to be useful contributors to the workplace. Additionally, military spouses have a staggering unemployment rate of 16%, significantly higher than the national rate of around 3.4%.
