Vinson & Elkins said Steve Moore is the firm’s new partner and co-head of the IP Litigation practice in San Francisco, having previously served at Kilpatrick Townsend & Stockton in several leadership roles.
Mr. Moore has more than 25 years of experience in multi-patent infringement disputes and multi-jurisdictional commercial and intellectual property claims, the firm stated.
He has also won jury verdicts and obtained judgments exceeding $100 million related to mobile gaming, medical devices, and robotic pool cleaners, it said.
“Steve is a nationally recognized, first-chair trial lawyer, who will play a huge role in growing our patent litigation practice, which is a strategic priority for the firm, as our clients increasingly seek sophisticated IP advice in light of rapid technological innovations across many industries,” said Michael Holmes, Vinson & Elkins’ Vice Chair and head of the firm’s litigation department.
Mr. Moore holds a bachelor’s degree, cum laude, from Duke University and a Juris Doctor, magna cum laude, from Duke Law School.
