Vinson & Elkins Makes Major London Push With Energy M&A Heavyweight Michael Burns

Vinson & Elkins said Michael Burns is now the firm’s Head of Energy and Infrastructure M&A – EMEA at its London office, having previously served as partner at Ashurst.

Mr. Burns has more than 20 years of experience in M&A, joint ventures and capital raises across the energy and infrastructure sectors, including digital and transportation infrastructure, and other large-scale infrastructure assets, the firm stated.

He has been recognized in The Legal 500 for Oil & Gas (2020–2026) and Chambers UK, Energy & Natural Resources: Oil & Gas, for nine consecutive years (2018–26).
