Longacre Square Partners Taps Amy Freedman as Head of Canada

By Daniella Parra

Longacre Square Partners, a consultancy specializing in corporate relations and crisis management, has expanded its North American presence by appointing Amy Freedman as Partner and Head of Canada, the firm announced Tuesday.

Based in Toronto, Ms. Freedman will focus on advising clients on shareholder activism, corporate governance, and complex transactions.

“Longacre has established itself as a premier strategic advisor on critical boardroom matters, and I am thrilled to be joining the firm,” Ms. Freedman, said. “Having personally been in both the investor and director seats, I recognize the need for the type of full-service, senior-led counsel Longacre offers to its diverse range of clients. I look forward to helping the firm continue to capitalize on the significant growth opportunities ahead of it.”

In 2024, the firm was ranked the top advisor in investor and public relations by Bloomberg’s Global Shareholder Activism Review for the third consecutive year.

“Amy is a force when it comes to guiding clients to value-enhancing outcomes – particularly in contested and special situations. Her varied experience, insight and dedication to clients make her an ideal addition to Longacre’s partnership,” Greg Marose and Dan Zacchei, Managing Partners of Longacre, said. “As we continue building a differentiated advisory firm with the reach and expertise clients need to win, Amy will play a key role in accelerating our evolution and success.”
